Birth of a brand full of love for nature, art and weaving
VASEVOLL was launched in 2023 by creative designer and founder Helene Knorr. Her passion for flowers, timeless design and the art of weaving led her to design a vase that combines classic elegance with modern functionality. Inspired by the weaving art of past eras - from wickerwork to artfully crafted rattan - she brings the lightness and stability of these techniques into VASEVOLL's designs.
VASEVOLL uses PE rattan, a weather-resistant, durable material that preserves the natural look of rattan but is ideal for modern requirements. This material combines timeless craftsmanship with the advantages of innovative technology.
With a strong connection to nature and art history, VASEVOLL was created to enrich indoor and outdoor spaces with floral arrangements.
Inspiration from the Heuerstuben estate and Renaissance art
VASEVOLL has its roots in the historic Heuerstubben estate in northern Germany. Surrounded by lush gardens, magnificent dahlias and English roses, Helene draws inspiration for her creations every day. Her travels, especially to Florence, and the art of the Renaissance - an era full of freedom and beauty - influenced the design of the MEDICI vases on pedestals, which transform classic forms into a contemporary design.
Material innovation from North German tradition
Helene was inspired to use PE rattan to make the vases, thanks to the work of her partner, who has been producing beach chairs – a cultural asset of northern Germany – in a German factory on the Baltic Sea for over 20 years. The robust, weather-resistant material used for beach chairs forms the perfect basis for the MEDICI vases. VASEVOLL combines traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics and durability.
